Our Botanical Philosophy

At VNili, we have always been committed to creating products using 100% botanical ingredients, with many formulated using certified organic ingredients wherever possible. We are passionate about celebrating Australia's beautiful native flora, and many of our creations hero these remarkable botanicals.

Our products are free from synthetic fragrances, colourants, animal-derived ingredients, phthalates, sulphates and parabens. Every product is lovingly handcrafted in small batches in Adelaide, South Australia using fair trade ingredients that are sustainably and ethically sourced and always cruelty free.

Whether it's a natural perfume, botanical shower steamer, wardrobe sachet or home fragrance, each creation has been thoughtfully designed to bring a little more beauty, calm and connection with nature into everyday life.

The Cherie Em Journey Continues

After many wonderful years, the Cherie Em story is entering a beautiful new chapter and the product range will continue under VNili, founded by Vanessa.

Vanessa has built VNili around a love of beautiful craftsmanship, thoughtful design and environmental sustainability. Bringing together beautiful natural scents with timeless style feels like a natural evolution, and Cherie couldn't think of a better person to continue creating these much-loved botanical products.

Like Cherie Em, Vanessa is passionate about using natural ingredients and creating products that are both beautiful and environmentally conscious.

To help ensure a smooth transition, Cherie will continue working alongside Vanessa, assisting with product making and sharing the recipes, techniques and knowledge developed over many years.

Meet Vanessa

Living in the beautiful Adelaide foothills with her three boys, Vanessa is the heart behind VNili. Alongside creating VNili's environmentally friendly hangers, she is loving the journey of creating natural perfumes and botanical products inspired by nature, sustainability and simple everyday rituals.

Creating Cherie Em has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

From studying natural perfumery and botanical formulation, experimenting with beautiful essential oils and plant extracts, to seeing these products become part of people's homes and daily rituals, it has been an incredibly rewarding journey.
